JANUARY 2022- HAS IT BEEN A YEAR?
Today marks a year since the fire at our shop, garage and home. It’s been a year that has flown by quickly and, at the same time, agonizingly slow. We’ve spent months navigating the insurance process looking for missing paperwork, making spreadsheets and gathering photographs - trying to remember every little item that we lost.
Owning your own business is a very personal thing. You put your heart and soul, your hopes and dreams into it everyday. It’s been a difficult and very emotional year. Thank you for your patience and kind thoughts.
JANUARY 2021- VERY SAD NEWS
We are very sad to report that our shop, Countryberries LLC, was destroyed by fire on the morning of Friday, January 29, 2021.
We are thankful that the shop was closed, and that no customers or staff were harmed. We're thankful that we were in our house behind the shop and were awoken in time to discover the fire and get to safety.
We are thankful to our neighbors for alerting us to the fire and saving our lives and home. Thank you to our other neighbors for sheltering us during the fire and the EMTs for taking care of us. We are thankful to the many police and firefighters for their incredible work, and while the shop and garage have been completely destroyed, our home is still in tact and safe to live in.
We would also like to thank all our wonderful customers, neighbors and friends who have sent their thoughts and prayers. We're sending a special thank.you to Judy, Sylvia, Debbie, Nancy, Glenda, Tim, Tom, Jimmy, our children and grandchildren.
As mentioned above, the shop is a complete loss. We are sure you have many questions, and so do we. We appreciate your continued support, and ask for your patience while we navigate through this tremendous loss and next steps.
We built the shop in 1997 with the help of family and friends, but as so many of you know, Countryberries was more than just a building on the Graham property (or a room in our house many, many years ago). It has been a dream, a passion, and part of the Graham family since May 1991. We are devastated but have the utmost gratitude that no one was harmed and that our family home of 36 years remains in tact.
